My husband and I are doing a road trip this weekend. So, we had to stop by Galesburg, IL. Originally, we planned to visit the railroad museum and then, we found out it was closed for the season. Any who, we stuck to the route we had chosen, I'm so glad we! Those unexpected times can turn out to be really fabulous, and in triple***, too! Today, I just checked the local places to eat and Sidetrax Bar & Grill, for some reason stood out to me and, off we went. We arrived about 5pm, it wasn't crowded but there were several couples already settling in for the evening. We grabbed seats and menus, told our server, that this was our 1st time eating there, she assured me that their food was very good and lots of people stopped bye, especially on weekends. Boy, Oh, Boy, was she right! Everything, was FIRE 🔥🔥🔥! I wish we had 3 more days to spend here, just on their account! If you haven't been, go! We spent less than $50, we had a 16" pizza, a couple of drinks and an order of chicken wings! We brought back extras as well! If I lived here, this would be my go-to-place. Cool little place to have drinks and grab food. I have eaten alot of Rubens in my life and have to tell ya. They have the best Ruben I ever had. The lady that cooks the meat definitely knows what she is doing. The meat just melted in my mouth the Fat on the Ruben just disappeared when it hit my tongue.
Passing through and thought we would give this place a try. Ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza and an order of Deep Fried Mushrooms to go. A couple of drinks while we waited for our food. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely visit this bar and grill again.
Just needed a nice glass of wine. Pleasant bartender, mid day so very quiet. What a bargain. Delightful Moscato only $5. In Arizona, that would cost $12-$15 minimum.

OMG! Passing thru Galesburg on the Amtrak and found this place. Amazing food! Definitely get the fried mushrooms, so good.
I came with my kiddos who are picky eaters but they ate the kids meals (corn dogs w fries and cheeseburger w fries) and said it was delicious I got the "Almost Cuban" (I am actually Cuban) got excited and ordered it, do not regret it, also got margaritas, tasted like a good lemonade but not much liq in it but for 6 bucks it's delicious. Great server. Chill atmospher. Will come again 😊
Ate here for lunch. Take out orders since our office staff is so busy! It was great. $62 / 4 people. Not bad. The porker and the Blue& Baccon were delicious. We love the pretzel bites as well!
Plenty of sports on several TV positioned around the bar. No low tables for a handicapped person. Most seats were backless stools unless sitting at bar. However they did offer to get my husband a seat with a back. Appetizer potato skins comes with onion and green peppers. I've never had that before. Lots of Colby jack cheese. Lot of potato filling. We'll worth the cost. Husband got fish and chips. Fish overcooked but did taste good. Fries were OK. I had the chicken quessidilla. It also had green peppers. Fresh homemade tortilla shell. Server super friendly and helpful. Checked on us several times. Not a fan of the parking lot. Didnt see a handicapped parking place. Difficult to get out of if someone is coming in.
